Who would have thought that Asian music would become
a phenomenon? Well, maybe some did. The populist
music is coming out from Japan, China, and especially South Korea. Recently, Kpop
has exploded socially, and internationally. In the past, Kpop was not as
popular as it is today because it was hidden behind the shadow of Japanese
music. On YouTube, you will find numerous of video reactions, dance covers,
song covers, and other types of videos talking about Kpop. However, I have
begun to notice that a hand few of Kpop vloggers are becoming more open to
other types of Asian music like: Thai Pop (Thailand) and Indo-Pop (Indonesia).
It is because Thai and Indonesian fans are
requesting their favorite Kpop vloggers to do more video reactions towards
their own countries pop music. Thai pop, Indo-pop, and Kpop are similar, but different
because of language. Bands like: Evo Nine, S4, Candy Mafia, and S.O.S are
becoming better known. If Thai pop and Indo-pop continue to follow the
bandwagon of Kpop, it can become the next big trend. What do you think?
