We
hold the Disney animation version of Mulan dear to our hearts. That we
cannot imagine the film without Mushu, Cricket, Little Brother (her
dog), or even Khan (her horse). It must include Shang singing “I’ll Make a Man Out of You,” and that would not be a problem with me. I do feel this is the only version of Mulan that people have seen.

Hua Mu Lan Chuan Qi |
Currently, I am watching a Chinese drama known as Jin Guo Da Jiang Jun (Mulan). It was released in the same year as Hua Mu Lan Chuan Qi. Jin Guo Da Jiang Jun has eight less episodes than The Legend of Mulan. Hong Kong actress, Elanne Kong portrays Hua Ruolan and is in a love triangle between a prince- general, Yang Jun played by Chinese actor, Chen Si Cheng and scholar-childhood friend Zhao Yu who is played by Chinese actor, Yuan Hong. Ruolan also has a younger sister, Yu He (Chinese actress- Liu Zi Yan).

Lastly, there is the 2009 Chinese film, Mulan: Rise of a Warrior. It
features famous Chinese biggest stars like Zhao Wei, Yu Rongguang, Chen
Kun, Hu Jun, Jaycee Chan, Nicky Lee, and Vitas (Ukrainian). Zhao Wei in
the film is Mulan, and Chen Kun plays her love interest, Wentai.
