Kpop Lingo of the Day: Sarang

Let's talk about love!

Today's Kpop Lingo of the day actually comes from the Korean language.

Sarang

Why wait till Valentine's Day to talk about love! Sarang in Korean means love. You may have also seen/or heard this phrase "saranghae" (I love you) in K-dramas, song lyrics, and etc. There are several different ways to use sarang depending on who (formal or informal) or the context.

Guess About Me? #1

I usually do not like writing an introduction about myself. Instead, I have decided to start a guessing game about me. I'll post a question and a hint, therefore you have to guess the answer out of four multiple choice answers. You can either leave a comment down at the bottom or tweet me. Later on, I
will post the correct answer. Hopefully this will help you get to know me better. Let's play!

What year did I get into Kpop?

A. 2003

B. 2010

C. 2004

D. 2013

Hint: DBSK - Triangle, and  Rain - Its Raining was released in that year.

*Triple Kpop Lingo of the Day: Bias Ruiner, Jailbait, and Hawaiting

Today's Kpop lingo of the day is...(drumrolls)
Bias Ruin(er)

My understanding of a bias ruin(er) is a low ranking bias (Kpop idol) who works its way up the bias list system to ruin whomever you have ranking first already or can ruin your ultimate bias. Whether it be in visual looks, dancing, singing or etc.

Jailbait

A word for an idol who debuted under 18.

Many fan girls/fan boys also fantasize about "naughty" things towards the younger K-pop idols, but know this is an illegal thing to do in reality and will be sent to jail.
Zelo (B.A.P.)

Hwaiting/Fighting
A word to used to say "good luck" or "I support you!"
also used a lot in K-Dramas.

Kpop Lingo of the Day: Ultimate Bias

Kpop Lingo of the Day is back!

Today's Kpop lingo of the day is...(drumrolls)

Ultimate Bias

An ultimate bias is a Kpop idol that a fan loves ever thing about that idol. Whether, it be visual looks, dancing, singing or any other type of talent. So, you can have a Kpop bias(es) and have a ultimate bias as well.

I don't really have a ultimate bias. What about you?

Asian Drinks: Bubble Tea (Taiwan)

It's amazing how fast society catches up with underground trends making them become popular trends. I say this because bubble tea first came to my attention back in the mid early 2000s. During those times I was in middle school addicted to anime, and Gaia online. Every now and then I would post in the Food & Drink section of Gaia, which is how I found out about bubble tea. My friends didn't know anything about bubble tea once when I had asked them. Now, they do. It wasn't easy finding restaurants or stores that sold bubble tea because it was not popularly known at that time. My first time trying it was in high school. Now, you can basically find bubble tea anywhere in the West.

What is Bubble Tea? Bubble tea is a Taiwanese drink made out of a black tea, milk, fruit, and tapioca balls. One day, I'll will learn how to make bubble tea on my own.

Other names: Pearl Milk Tea, Boba Tea, or Milk Tea
